PRIVACY POLICY & PERSONAL DATA
PLUFFI,Email address: contact@pluffisupport.com
PERSONAL DATA
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of laws implemented by the European Commission starting May 25, 2018, for all companies operating in Europe. PLUFFI is therefore affected by this regulation.
WHAT DOES IT CHANGE IN PRACTICE?
To protect internet users from data leaks or misuse of personal data, companies are now required to inform visitors about all computer processing that is carried out based on the collected data.
Like all e-commerce merchants, we collect data on our users and work with several third-party providers who, therefore, have access to some of our data. These data are essential for providing you with the best possible experience on our site and ensuring that your order is processed smoothly.
WHERE ARE PLUFFI'S SERVERS LOCATED?
The servers of the pluffi.com website are exclusively hosted by Shopify. Our database, necessary for the functioning of the site, is stored on these servers. Information about customer accounts is stored there. To allow you to retrieve your order history, this data is only deleted if you request it.
DOES PLUFFI SELL MY PERSONAL DATA?
PLUFFI does not sell your personal data, and we never will. Some companies exchange customer files for commercial prospecting purposes, but this is not the case with PLUFFI. All the data we collect stays with us and will never be shared, rented, or sold to a third-party company.
ARE MY PASSWORDS SECURE?
Passwords are stored in an encrypted format, and it is impossible to decrypt them. Your passwords are therefore safe.
WHAT ABOUT MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER?
For credit card payments, we work with [payment provider/bank name], which ensures the security of your data. At no time do we have access to your credit card number.
WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO YOU COLLECT FROM ME AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
PLUFFI may ask the user for personal data during the consultation and use of the site, particularly:
- When the user creates an account
- When the user places an order on the site
- When the user contacts customer service
The data collected is intended for use by PLUFFI to manage the commercial and contractual relationship with the user and, if applicable, to inform them of offers and news.
The user may receive electronic prospecting from PLUFFI and its partners, provided they have expressly consented to it. The user can opt-out at any time via the unsubscribe link contained in the aforementioned electronic prospecting.
In accordance with the Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, as amended by the law of August 6, 2004, the user has the right to access, oppose, and rectify personal data concerning them as specified in the "privacy protection" chapter.
The use of cookies by the site publisher is solely intended to enable or facilitate electronic communication.
Visitors and/or customers are invited from the start page to mark their consent to the use of these cookies and always retain the option to accept or oppose the storage of cookies by configuring their web browser settings.
ORDERS
When you create a customer account on our site, we store in our systems all the information necessary to process your order: your email, name, surname, postal address, and phone number, to prepare and deliver your package.
This order data is shared with various providers working to get your package to you: the person preparing the package and the carrier delivering it to you. These parties are not allowed to use your data for anything other than processing your order, and they must delete this data from their systems after processing.
These providers store data in data centers in Europe. However, if you choose to have your order delivered outside of Europe, your data, such as your postal address, will necessarily be transmitted to the logistics services of the carrier delivering your package in that country.
STATISTICS
To constantly improve, we use software and services operated by third-party providers to better understand our business. As such, we provide these tools with data about our customer base, your browsing history on our site, and information on ordered products. Most of our tools are hosted in France.
Therefore, all data handled for statistical purposes outside Europe is entirely anonymized.
ADVERTISING
Like most online retailers, we record your visits to display advertisements when you browse other websites. This process does not involve handling personal data, and neither the advertising agency nor the third-party websites displaying our ads have access to your contact details. If you no longer wish to see our ads, you can delete cookies from your web browser.
